"What Kraken Studios Did This Summer Instead of Work..." SPECIAL REPORT!

Hey Kids!

Have a nice Summer?

Kraken had a pretty bumpy Summer this year. We lost a business partner, suffered a crippling blow to our computer network (laptop down!), and experienced some outrageous lawyer fees... You know, fun business type stuff. BUT WAIT!!!! There were good times too!

Kraken Update and Rough Kamea Designs!

Well... Jason and I are still trying to knock out deals with the printers on our first run of shirts and greeting cards. In the meantime here's a handful of sketches of one of our main characters, Kamea!

We're still trying to nail down her final design. That little sack of potatoes you see at Kamea's feet is "Aloha Pineapple". Much more on this mysterious island fruit coming very soon!!!

This is one of the first Kamea designs I did... Savage Surf hair?! Wicked!

Kraken Greetings!

I'm pretty excited about these greeting cards we've just finished mocking up. With a little luck these will be available along with one or two of our shirts next month!

The www.krakenstudios.com site continues to grow and improve, we've got a few completed designs now in the queue and we're awaiting word from our printer when the first EVER Kraken Studios T-designs will be released. You will see the designs posted on the site and we should have a video feed featuring the most current offerings from Kraken Studios soon.
We're excited; check back soon and make sure to share your feedback anytime.

Another possible shirt design...
Bored FLamingos on the "Asphalt" American Apparel shirt.

I'd also like to thank my buddy Bobby for helping promote Kraken. He's to animation what Doc Brown is to time travel... Check out his site!

Our First Design!

Say Aloha to our first shirt design! I'm still working on final colors but I think we're getting close. The girl in this illustration is "Kamea". Kamea means "The one and only" in Hawaiian. She's one of the central characters in the Kraken universe.

I always feel like something is lost after an illustration is cleaned up. It's like good animation... The rough drawings are usually a lot more interesting to look at compared to the cleanup. That being the case I thought i'd throw the pencils up too!

Kraken Studios is Coming!

"RELEASE THE KRAKEN!"... studios.

Hi there! I'm Trevor. Thanks for stopping by.

I want to give you a quick lowdown on why Kraken Studios exists and hopefully get you excited enough to stick around for the ride...

I've loved animation for as long as I can remember. I've been lucky enough to make a living at it for over 5 years now. I'm a character animator in the video game industry. Awesome right?! It is!

Kind of...

As cool as working in the game industry has been, what I've always really wanted to do is something a little more personal. I've had a lot of goofy ideas floating around my head for long, long time. Ideas that want out of the house... badly.

When an old friend of mine expressed interest in starting a clothing company I thought it would be a great way to start giving all those ideas an audience. As far as studios go we are probably just about the smallest shrimp in the sea at the moment. A shrimp with some very goofy, and very big ideas.

So here we are. I'm going to start posting some design work right away and with any luck the website should be up and chugging along very soon too.

Welcome to Kraken Studios!
